Sometimes we can feel very let down by people. If it is someone we have helped and trusted, we may feel anger or resentment if they do not reciprocate. If it is someone behaving in a surprising even shocking way, we can become very judgemental and feel deep disappointment that they have not reached our expectations. Worst of all is when someone we love brings unexpected and unwanted changes into our life that seem to indicate a lack of care for our feelings and needs. All can make us feel deeply let down, generating a range of deep emotions such as anger, resentment, sadness and disappointment which can stay with us for years.
This essence helps us deal with our hurt feelings by balancing the base chakra, strengthening our own sense of security and providing a very safe and peaceful place from which we can reflect on what has happened and why. Linking with the upper chakras casts light on our own shadows helping empathy and understanding. We can now accept that people have their own lives and problems. Also, that everyone has weaknesses for which we need to show compassion and, sometimes, forgiveness. This helps reconcile our own hurts so we can send out love and understanding to those involved and, in return, receive it back into our hearts.
